Underling : "..and when we land, you’ll be taken to the master." Man : "What master?" Underling : "The master of the moon. Our great leader whose intelligence planned, and directed this whole project. Please relax, enjoy your remarkable privilege. A free trip to the moon." Master of the Moon : "We come from a world called 'Xar.' Once, a million generations ago, we too had physical bodies. But, as ages passed we became pure mental energy. Too late we realised our doom. In a few generations, we, the highest life form in the cosmos, would cease to exist." Man : "If you should conquer and rule the earth, there will always be someone who will fight against you." Master of the Moon : "Conquer, and rule Earth? Why should we want to do that? What possible satisfaction of glory could we find, in ruling a race whose most intelligent life force is little more than primitive savages compared with our vast knowledge?"

Youth. 02:12
Man : “Mary I know what i’m gonna do tomorrow, and the next day, and next year, and the year after that. I’m shaking the dust of this crummy little town off my feet, and I’m gonna see the world! Italy, Greece, the Parthenon, the Colosseum! Then i’m coming back here to go to college and see what they know, and then I’m gonna build things. I’m gonna build air fields, I’m gonna build skyscrapers a hundred stories high, I’m gonna build bridges a mile long!
What is it tha you want Mary? What do you want?
You-you want the moon?! Just say the word and i’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down! Hey, that’s a pretty good idea. I’ll give you the moon, Mary.” Mary : “I’ll take it! But, then what?” Man : “Then you could swallow it and it’ll all dissolve, you see? And the moon beams will shoot out of your fingers, your toes, and the ends of your hair. Am I talking too much?”

Rage & Love 02:43
Woman : "You do hate me, don’t you Johnny?" Johnny : "I don’t think you have any idea how much." Woman : "I hate you, too, Johnny. Hate is a very exciting emotion. Haven’t you noticed? I hate you so much that, I think i’m gonna die from it. I’m gonna die from it."
4.
Spike : “Look at my eyes, Faye. One of them is a fake ‘cus i lost it in an accident.” Faye: “But you’re the one still tied to past, Spike.” Man : “Hmph. Before I knew it, the dream was all over.” Faye : “My memory finally came back, but nothing good came from it. There was no place for me to return to. This was the only place that I could go. And now you’re leaving just like that! Why do you have to go? Where are you going? What are you going to do? Just throw your life away like it was nothing?!” Spike : “I’m not going there to die. I’m going to find out if i’m really alive. I have to do it, Faye.”
5.
Old Man monologue : “I’ve gone from a young soldier to an old man in the 30 years I’ve spent guarding the Hakone checkpoint. There was one day when things weren’t alright. Everyone danced like they were caught in a trance. Then, like the morning mist the whole affair vanished. And it was just as quickly forgotten. But I still remember that proud stray dog, and sometimes, I wonder if he remembers too. Does he recall that summer of love? That day was over 30 years ago. That night he ran and danced deep within that electric purple haze, and I’ll just be another old man tomorrow. I still remember it as if it were yesterday.”

Narrator (The Dead Man) : “Interested in me, are you?
The story is quite simple. A a certain point in the past before we came to these waters, my crew left behind a good friend of ours. But then the crew was annihilated. How sad he must be, wondering if we betrayed him, wondering if our promise was a lie, yet still waiting for us in the same place. The promise that we made was left unfulfilled. However, if by some chance he did believe in our promise, and is waiting for us after all these years. The only consolation we could offer this friend was the promise that we would return one day, no matter the cost. Since I am the only survivor it is my duty to return to my friend, even if I must bear sad news. How long has it been since the day we died? I’ve lost count. It’s been more than 50 years now. DEATH IS NEVER AN APOLOGY!”
9.
Carl Sagan : “Consider again that dot. That’s home, that’s us. On it, everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering. Every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, every superstar, every supreme leader, lived there. On a mode of dust, suspended in a sunbeam. The Earth is a very small stage in a vast, cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors. So that in glory and triumph, they can become momentary masters ..of a fraction, of a dot. How frequent their misunderstandings. How eager they are to kill one another. The Earth is the only world known so far to harbour life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future to which our species could migrate. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another. And to preserve, and cherish, the Pale Blue Dot. The only home we’ve ever known.”

about

A concept lo-fi album that revolves around the story of a young man who falls in love, only to realise that life isn't a bed of roses.
It follows the story from his early days, through to his old age.
The album shifts to a more nihilistic theme post the interlude, and ends in a rather dark manner.
